Feeding the people, traveling the world is not about food. Well, it did start out being a concept about food but that’s not ALL one can be fed. Knowledge, Love, Healing, STORIES. Stories about us, and stories of YOU, the people we meet along our journey.

If you have followed us you know we once called Asheville our home. We sold our home in West Asheville and in 2022 moved to my (EL’s) hometown of Philadelphia . Our 3 year old pup ASHE was born 11 days after Gus’s passing in the mountains of Asheville. Half of our hearts are there, and we feel called to feed the people.

The holidays are usually spent in Asheville gathering with friends, grabbing a coffee at Battle Cat coffee bar, brunch at Liberty House cafe, a beer at Burial Hi-Wire or Wedge and WITHOUT A DOUBT a slice of PIE.ZAA . This year will be no different, however we will be there helping, assisting in any way we can. The French Broad River dog park, gone. The River Arts District, gone.

There’s been no word from Bear Creek Campground, unfortunately Creek Wood Farm RV park has washed away and clean up is underway. All of the staff is safe and guests were evacuated prior to flooding. The French Broad River dog park, gone.. The River Arts District, gone. We will be assisting BelovedAsheville, a non-profit organization who focuses on bringing people together to love community. Secondly, Jai’s CrossFit gym is a total loss. She plans on lending as much help as is needed to rebuild the Summit CrossFit community.

We are currently in the PA/NJ/DE area and will be collecting supplies that are immediate needs of the Asheville community.

Whether you have been to Asheville or not, all you simply need to know is it’s magical and we are setting out to help heal. Please consider donating anything you can as Asheville brings so much to a world that needs magic right now.

Please check daily, as this list may change. If you’d like to make a monetary donation we will ensure that all funds will go directly into the Asheville community. Venmo is @ELGabor or @JenScurlock

Thank you & be excellent to eachother.

Below is anAmazon short list of what the people of Asheville desperately need as winter is approaching.

UPDATE

We have heard from Bear Creek Campground and all staff is accounted for along with very little damage. Western Carolina is without water and there is no timeline for return. Potable water is on site, and the campground is up and running as many of the volunteers are staying there.

Creek wood Farm RV park has reopened! Here is a direct quote from their Facebook page!

“Creekwood Farm RV Park is open for business. We officially welcomed our first guest back yesterday. Our team has worked tirelessly these past two weeks and we thank God for the gift of their dedication and love of this park”

They are requesting new stuffed animal donations for children during the Holiday season.
